On Wednesday 27th August 2025 about 10.35pm officers observed a suspicious male outside Farmfoods, Main Street Cambuslang. The male was in possession of various housebreaking tools. The 61 year old male will be reported to the Procurator Fiscal for the alleged offences.

Lanarkshire Preventions officers and South Lanarkshire Council Trading Standards, visited Sheltered Housing complexes, to provide inputs, issue call blockers and implement the No Cold Calling Zones to help protect residents from bogus callers.

Community police have recently been deployed to Brownside Road Cambuslang near to West Coats Primary School in response to local concerns regarding speeding motorists. Officers conducted speed checks and provided driver education and will continue to do so in the area.
