On 23/08/24 #DalkeithRP observed this adapted e-bike on Eskbank Road, Dalkeith. A pursuit ensued & the 32 year male old rider was arrested for - Drink driving - Positive drugwipe for cocaine and cannabis - No licence - No insurance - Fail to stop for police - Dangerous driving

- Drink driving

#TaysideRP attended an RTC on the #A923 tonight. The driver was lucky to escape injury but didn’t escape repercussions after he was found to have no licence, insurance or permission to have the vehicle. Always drive to the conditions…and with proper documentation! #DontRiskIt

#EdinburghRP attended this one car collision on Dalkeith Road yesterday. Luckily there was no serious injury, however the driver of this vehicle was arrested for failing the roadside breath test! The driver now faces disqualification upon conviction. #ArriveAlive #DontRiskIt

In #Glasgow earlier today, officers from the #NationalMotorcycleUnit stopped the driver of this vehicle for using a hand held mobile phone whilst driving. The driver was reported to COPFS and if convicted at court, faces a minimum of 6 penalty points & a £200 fine. #DontRiskIt

#DalkeithRP carried out a speed check this morning on Carberry Road, Inveresk village. Despite being a 20mph speed limit, four motorists were detected speeding, the highest speed being 39mph. One driver warned, two issued with conditional offers and one reported to COPFS

#EdinburghRP responded to multiple complaints about vehicles driving through the ‘No Entry’ sign on Featherhall Avenue, Corstorphine. This car was stopped and reported to the Procurator Fiscal. This offence carries points and a fine. #DriveSmart

#FifeRP stopped this vehicle in Glenrothes. Registration plate was not correctly displayed, windows allowed less light through than legal limit, numerous lighting offences and a bald tyre. The driver was driving out with conditions of their licence and had no insurance. #seized

#DalkeithRP stopped a motorist earlier today on the B6392 Bonnyrigg Distributor road for travelling at 45mph in a 30mph limit. They also had cannabis in their possession & failed a drugwipe for cannabis. Arrested & blood specimen obtained for analysis. Will be reported to COPFS
