That's 3 new dog teams hitting the streets, #PDNinja to Aberdeen (left), #PDStrike to Inverness (centre) & #PDNash to Dundee (right). All the handlers have worked very hard over their 13 week course & will now keep the streets safe with their General Purpose dogs. Wish them luck!

#PDZak and #PDIce formed a tag team today to capture a burglar in Aberdeen. When an eagle eyed member of the public saw a man acting suspiciously they called us. With Ice at the back of the house, and Zak going in the front, there was only one outcome; 1 in custody!

#PDTora jumped into action last night to find a vulnerable 14-year-old in Fife. Working as a team, with the Operational Support Unit, they tracked through difficult terrain. They found her and then provided first aid, before getting her to safety.

When a 20-year-old woman, in Kirkcaldy had a #MentalHealth crisis last night, #PDIhm got his tracking harness on and put his nose to the ground. He soon found her, just in time for his handler to make sure she was ok, assure her and get the support she needed. Great job!

When a shoplifter left an Aberdeen shop with his swag, telling staff he had a knife when challenged, #PDIce & his cheuffeur were hot on his heels. Ice checked numerous gardens, finding the suspect hiding behind a shed. 1 in custody & property recovered. Great job!

Great work last night by #PDHalley & her handler in Fife. After reports of a violent domestic, involving a knife, Halley set about looking for the suspect. After 1.5 hrs of concerted effort, in freezing conditions, they found the male suspect hiding! 1 in custody.

A great team effort by #PD Fergie, her handler and Police Scotland Highland & Islands officers to find a missing person in Inverness last night . PD Fergie tracked through woods and found her with the help of the local officers. She's now being helped by partner agencies.

When a robbery was reported as occuring near King Street, Aberdeen, last night #PDNyx and her handler went to help. Nyx's eagle eyed lead holder spotted one of the suspects and with Nyx deployed the suspect decided not to run and gave himself up. 1 in custody!

#PDMilo and his handler assisted Police Scotland Lothians & Scottish Borders officers on Sunday night after a break in to a business in Penicuik. The male suspect thought he slipped the net until Milo was allowed to play hide and seek and found him. 1 in custody!

When a male suspect committed a robbery at a business in Broxburn on Sunday, #PDCairo was called to find him. Cairo's handler spotted the male & the pair gave chase, containing him in a graveyard. No escape for him though, especially when Road Policing Scotland helped arrest him.

Say hello to our newest recruit, #TPDEva , from Lealisha German Shepherds local to Aberdeen. She's been kindly gifted to us from a generous member of the public. Her Mum & Dad are both sports dogs & have police dog relatives; we reckon she's going to be great.

It's retirement day for #PDYogi in Aberdeen. He's leaving to have a life of luxury with his handler PC Warden & will be keeping the sofa warm. Filling the Yogi's spot will be a new puppy who will be trained & then go on to a new handler somewhere in Scotland.

A great article in the #ScottishField magazine this month on 2 of our pups in Aberdeen. #TPDDee is in training to be an Explosive Detection Dog & #TPDRussell is being trained to find Drugs, Cash and Firearms. They're both doing brilliantly with PC's Warden and Stockley!

Great result for #PDFergie and her handler on Sunday after a car crashed on Distributor Road, Inverness and the 19-year-old male driver ran off. Fergie got her nose to work and tracked him for a mile; he then failed the roadside breath test & was arrested.

#PDAxe assisted Police Scotland Lothians & Scottish Borders in Haddington on Sunday when a car crashed & 2 men ran off. Axe's handler saw them & they started to run, but with Axe out of the van one gave up & the other was spotted jumping into a wheelie bin! Both traced. Enquiries ongoing.
