While Prince William Forest Park trails remain open from sunrise to sunset, the visitor center is now open from 8am-4pm on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday and closed on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. #TimeChange #DaylightSavingTime #NewHours

Please use caution when driving along the Scenic Drive from December 12 to sometime in January as a project to place new timber guard rails will close one lane of the road in the area just south of the Turkey Run Road where Scenic Drive meets itself.

It's that time of year again! With the clock springing forward tomorrow for daylight savings time, the visitor center hours will also change. The visitor center will now be open from 9:00am to 5:00pm every day of the week (Monday-Sunday). #TimeChange #PrinceWilliamForestPark

Due to the National Weather Service Red Flag Warning today, 4/18/2023, Prince William Forest Park has banned campfires and charcoal fires in the park until 8pm or the Red Flag Warning expires. Visitors may continue to use camp stoves and propane grills for cooking.

UPDATE 4/19/2023: Campfires and charcoal fires are once again allowed in designated campfire grills in Prince William Forest Park, however please use caution as fire danger is still high in the forest.

Starting August 21, Turkey Run Ridge Group Campground as well as the orienteering course will be closed for infrastructure repairs. The Turkey Run parking area as well as the hiking trails will remain open. For your safety, please do not enter the fenced off construction area.
