Hey VA! Six days from #ElectionDay this was an intentional effort but we won't back down. YOUR VOTE MATTERS and this #SCOTUS ruling proves it. Tell EVERYONE you know to check their voter registration status and make a plan to vote. Same day voter registration is available in VA.

Honored to be the first Black trans woman elected to public office in Cook County tonight. Together, we’ve made history. Over the next two years, I’ll fight to protect Lake Michigan, champion environmental justice, and amplify voices too long ignored. The work continues.

OMG! I have issues w/ people who didn't vote. However, my BIGGEST issue is w/ the media. STOP calling projected winners for states without having a significant number of votes in. It's a huge disservice to Americans. If #EveryVoteCounts, we should wait for them to come in. ABC News

Violence is more than physical harm. Coretta Scott King reminds us that violence takes many forms: “Poverty is violence. Starving a child is violence. Suppressing a culture is violence. Neglecting school children is violence. Discrimination against a working person is violence.
