The UK Labour Government is delivering £9.1 billion for Scottish Public Services. This is the largest settlement for Scotland in the history of devolution. I’m pleased that this UK Labour Government continues to stand up for Scotland. Something that the SNP hasn’t done.

I asked the Home Secretary whether the Government will commission research into the drivers of group-based child sexual exploitation. I was glad to hear that the Home Secretary confirmed that this work would be taken forward, and shared with the devolved administrations.

I welcome the UK Government’s decision to expand their Warm Home Discount. This will mean that an additional 240,000 households in Scotland will now receive £150 off their energy bills.

I am proud to stand with cross-party colleagues, military leaders and experts calling on the PM to invest in diplomacy and development – not just defence. It’s time to lead with peace.

Yesterday, I attended a Glasgow Commonwealth Games Celebration Event. I am looking forward to welcoming the Games back to Glasgow next year and I am delighted that Scotstoun Stadium in Glasgow West will be used as a venue for the competition.
