A new publication by Sarah Lachance Peter Loewen & others in the APSR finds that politicians’ views of voting behaviour differ strongly from those of citizens.

The PEARL team is exploring whether AI might be better a reducing how strongly people feel about their beliefs. A conversation with ChatGPT-4o significantly reduce certainty in false or unsupported beliefs (a reduction in mean certainty of 12.48%). Read the working paper:
