A powerful culture is a key component of great leadership. #SLTchat a couple of weeks ago had some great discussions on this

Making network commitment habitual is really tricky: time often not there when need and want are; people move on; other demands seem more pressing. @TeachingSchools South Yorkshire Futures KYRA all have much to share #IGTeachingCPD

Applicants, can you come up with even worse one-liners than last year’s candidates? You can? Great! You’re in! The Apprentice #TheApprentice #ApprenticeWednesdays

I haven’t had an Appraisal/Performance Management document for two years. Had the meetings. Just not seen the 'results'. So much breakdown between staff and SLT is this - lack of integrity, lip service to procedures. #newtoSLTchat #SLTchat

Mate in a nearby school had a lesson obs and questioned HT's grading of 'RI'. Apparently tech lessons need to be more highbrow. Was told 'if you agree with me, I’ll change it to good; if not, it stays RI'. Why are these people in charge? Why?

PDexchange @HarfordSean Ben Newmark Tom Sherrington The starting point of all OFSTED inspections is the last report. What happens when the last report contains things that are a) no longer scrutinized b) exist in that grey area where you hope they are no longer scrutinized? or when the last report is exceptionally old?
