With 5,974 YES votes and 116 NO votes, Comelec has proclaimed the creation of the municipality or PAHAMUDDIN in the Bangsamoro region.

6,099 out of 9,517 registered voters voted.

More than 50% voter turnout recorded in various voting precincts in North Cotabato as of 12 noon, based on the monitoring of groups Council for Climate and Conflict Action Asia and Early Response Network.

Voting in Brgy. Simsiman, Pigkawayan was completed as of 11:12 AM.

The vote will hopefully proceed smoothly. The yes vote is also expected to win.

If/when the yes vote wins, what we need to watch next is the selection of the OICs of these 8 towns by the BARMM.
