@microalgalguyph Open Science Subitec Scientists from the University Stuttgart developed an experimental photobioreactor (PBR; built by company Airbus). The PBR is meant to deliver longterm oxyen supply and nutrition. PBR was send to ISS with a Space-X rocket, being tested in the expedition #61 (beyond). 1/n

I have been waiting a couple of weeks... and finally the algae are in their new home! 😀

The IRS science team has been watching the algae inoculation in the Photobioreactor at the #ISS today! Thanks a lot to COL Anne McClain for the great job! We are really looking forward to the next 6 months! 😁 #spaceexploration
