For today’s ❤️🖤 RED FRIDAY OZARK🖤❤️ we attended First Friday Coffee with the Ozark Chamber of Commerce. We love seeing all this Tiger pride! Ozark has always had such an amazing and supporting community, and we are so thankful for it!

North fourth graders recently joined kindergarteners in the 🖥️ computer lab to help them get on the computers for the first time! We ❤️ love seeing our older students help our younger ones!

🇺🇸 PATRIOT DAY 🇺🇸 This morning, North 2nd graders learned about New York City, first responders and heroes as they read books about Sept. 11, 2001, including "The Man in the Red Bandanna," "Fireboat" and "This Very Tree."

🇺🇸 PATRIOT DAY 🇺🇸 West kindergarten is doing a patriotism unit, learning about the flag and our nation. This week in honor of Sept. 11, students went on a flag hunt around the school.

❤️ WE REMEMBER ❤️ Our first responders serve and ❤️ love big! And they made such an amazing impression on North Elementary 3rd graders yesterday! Students have been talking about 9/11 events and then wrote letters to our local first responders.

In recognition of 🇺🇸 Constitution Day, South 3rd graders are learning about Missouri’s government. To help bring the lessons to life, last week Christian County Associate Circuit Judge Steven Ward 👨‍⚖️ talked to students about King George & how the U.S. Constitution came to be.

If you like 🍩 breakfast and 📚 books, East Elementary was the place to be this morning! Today was the school’s first Breakfast & Books event where families gathered for donuts and to listen to a good book. 📚 We can’t wait for the next Breakfast & Books in November!

OJH Family Career and Community Leaders of America visited Springfield Lost and Found Grief Center yesterday. Students were able to help clean and sanitize the building and clean up the outside area to prepare for an upcoming event.

Congrats to OHS seniors Amelia Cazier, Stephen Metcalf, and Nathanael Martin! They have been honored by the College Board for their academic excellence and exceptional performance on the PSAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test and AP Exams.
