Our efforts to connect Cambridgeshire County Council with Dutch consultancy Haskoning paid dividends for people walking & cycling in the south of Cambridge. The Dutch-style roundabout at Fendon Road was a UK first, with a protected ring for cyclists and zebra crossings on each arm for pedestrians.

UK Government needs £3 million? Simple, reverse Sunak's 5p cut to Fuel Duty, which benefits mostly wealthy households who have bigger cars and drive them more. This also reduces road congestion, casualties, climate change - and boosts public health and public transport.

After more than a decade YOU can now act to support less congestion in #Oxford. The proposed Congestion Charge will have a POSITIVE impact - the analysis is clear. 🗳️ Respond to the consultation: shorturl.at/FuVxo 🧭 A guide if you're not sure: shorturl.at/lkgSp

Driving a car through stop signs is usually aggressive, and it's dangerous to everyone at the intersection. Riding a bicycle through stop signs is usually harmless to everyone. The anti-bike mind can't understand the difference.

Culture war-based coverage of cycling based on stereotypes of middle-aged men in Lycra could harm the nation’s health because it shifts focus away from the people and communities who benefit from physical activity, Chris Whitty has said. theguardian.com/uk-news/2025/j…

The anti-cycling people are now raising concerns about zombies and Martians as reasons not to build inclusive cycle lanes. In fact, these lanes would provide a resilient infrastructure for problems that we actually face, like jams, living costs, and fuel crises from panic buying.

“A real Plan For Drivers would support these measures to reduce road deaths and use more LTNs to deliver genuine transport choices, freeing up the roads for those who really need to drive.” My Opinion piece in The Standard 👇 standard.co.uk/comment/low-tr…
