What song could be more apt than one which says "240 thousand miles from the moon; We've come a long way to belong here to; share this view of the night, a glorious night; Over the horizon is another bright sky"? Thus, I nominate '93 Million Miles' by Jason MMRRRaz #NASAMoonTunes

Preparing a presentation on molecular motors for course by Schalley group, I was introduced to the works of Dr Feringa...and was instantly captivated. And this attitude of using chemistry as a unifying power...it just makes me like him a lot more.

And this, ladies and gentlemen, is what a good announcement looks/sounds like...on the other hand, I might be a bit biased since David Mitchell is involved!

I always say that my MSc Thesis with Hopkinson Research Group was one of the best chemistry experiences I've had....and now along with a thesis, I have another reminder of it! congrats to Andreas Mavroskoufis for the paper, and thanks for tolerating me in the lab for 4 odd months!

For every academic stuck at home, juggling stress and workload, here's something to make you laugh (or cry, depending on how you relate)! Adapted from the Piled Higher and Deeper comics by the truly great PHD Comics...who's all the more awesome for making the movies free :)

Never a dull moment with the Jarvis Lab!

Congrats Eva Klemencic!

Apparently it takes 2.5 weeks for it to sink in...Thanks to David Clarke and Anca Pordea for a very fruitful discussion. As always, a massive thanks to my labmates in Jarvis Lab over the years for their support and to Amanda Jarvis for allowing me to be a part of it all.
