In commemoration of the 1906 Atlanta Race Massacre, I was proud to host ten strangers at our home to share a meal and have vital conversations about race that will hopefully inspire action for moving forward together. It's been 116 years since the Atlanta Race Massacre, in which White supremacist mobs terrorized and killed dozens of Black Americans. Today, we honor not just the victims in Atlanta, but also the victims of the countless similar atrocities at the hands of white supremacy.

Yesterday, I introduced a resolution to honor the Black residents of Atlanta killed by violent white supremacists and acknowledge the lasting impact on Atlanta's Black community. Thank you to the 51 Members of Congress who joined me on my resolution. nikemawilliams.house.gov/posts/congress…
