        How wonderful to have safe-haven, Orokonui Ecosanctuary in Dunedin. Thought to be extinct for decades but sighted again in 1948, the tāonga takahē live for 16–18 years in the wild and 20–22 years at sanctuary sites. #endangered #takahe Orokonui Ecosanctuary
