Spotorno et al. show that cortical mean diffusivity, a measure of cortical microstructure derived from diffusion MRI, can track disease progression on the AD continuum and could thus be a promising outcome measure in trials. tinyurl.com/mp4ewhzn; tinyurl.com/y7mramrh

It seems that we can get accurate information about the individual-level disease stage of AD by just analyzing one single CSF sample for 5 key AD biomarkers. Hopefully this staging paradigm can be transferred to blood very soon, using even fewer biomarkers!
