Great day guiding for Oriole Birding in Wexford. We found a 1CY Grey phalarope, Glossy Ibis, 2 Cattle egret, a surprise adult Long-tailed skua and Carrion crow (hybrid hooded x carrion) at Rosslare back strand. And more elsewhere! BirdGuides
We got in on the Glossy Ibis influx this afternoon at Tacumshin when a group of 16 dropped from high above to join 6 already present. Oriole Birding BirdGuides
Juvenile Pectoral sandpiper showed well, as did a juvenile Buff-breasted and adult white-rumped sandpiper at Tacumshin this afternoon. Great birds for the group! #guiding Oriole Birding BirdGuides
Norfolk for Oriole Birding - 11th September 2025 My day started in the Broads where the Black-winged Kite performed before meeting up with the clients at Titchwell for an intense but very rewarding three hours out on the reserve before dinner. blueeyedbirding.blogspot.com/2025/09/norfol…
It is fair to say the Oriole Birding trip to Wexford is going well. Sabine’s on the crossing, loads of waders including Buff-breasted, Pectoral, White-rumped Sands and Grey Phals. Glossy Ibises galore and a pair of fishing Ospreys at the mighty Tacumshin. Pics by Cian Cardiff
These fantastic Orcas off Sumburgh Head were the hands-down highlight for our Shetland group today 📸 by Chris Darby Chris Darby
The Blue-winged Teal at Hillwell y’day kicked off the final day of our 1st group to Shetland of the season. We were lucky as it flew in from the south with a group of Teal just as we arrived. Certainly a lot easier to pick out in flight than on the deck! 📷 by Chris Darby
We spent the rest of our final morning on Shetland y’day checking spots up the west side of Mainland, including the burn of Geosetter. Just a Blackcap seen on the way up, but coming back down this stunning Wood Warbler popped out! Pic by Chris Darby
It’s been a good start to our Oriole Birding Shetland tour as a stop at Musselburgh on the way to Aberdeen produced the long-staying Marsh Sandpiper, White-winged Scoter, Surf Scoter and plenty more! Nick Parsons
It was a good day for our Shetland tour on Yell and Unst. Highlights included Common Rosefinch, Hawfinch, 4 Glossy Ibis and, perhaps best of all, this confiding Short-toed Lark. 📸 by Jonathan Farooqi
Well that’s a turn up! Eye-browed Thrush at Porthloo duck pond this morning for our Bird Watching Scilly tour group! We’ve had a good run of Oriole UK lifers this autumn with this hot on the heels of the Needletail, Sibe Thrush and Mourning Dove 📷 credit Simon Knight
