SalivaDirect was excited to be back in Chicago last week for ASTMH, attended by Tzu-Yi Lin and Anne Wyllie! Tzu-Yi presented a poster on SalivaDirect multiplex (preprint available at: medrxiv.org/content/10.110……) and gave an oral presentation, too!

I just realized that I went from being the youngest in the lab, to being old enough that some of the technicians could be your kid.

Dabbling already with saliva, pneumococcus & SalivaDirect, Inc., it only made sense to Chikondi Peno,PhD 🇲🇼 Dr. Orchid Allicock🇧🇧🇹🇹 & I to see what would happen if we put them all together➡️an interesting potential for low-cost pneumococcal surveillance in kids. Cheaper methods➡️more samples➡️more data?!
