Most of the news this wknd focused on the elections, but ICYMI: the NC Supreme Court ordered the legislature to allocate more funding to ensure that our kids get a sound basic education as guaranteed by the constitution. Thanks to the orgs and individuals fighting 4 kids.

Early voting turnout for this election is tragically low in Mecklenburg County. The issues we face are too important to ignore. Congress, General Assembly, County Commission, State Supreme Court, CMS school board, local judges and city bonds are on the ballot. Please Vote!

Thank you to everyone who voted in yesterday's election. Whether you voted on Election Day or during Early Voting, your vote was critical. We're excited that the city bonds passed to continue efforts to increase affordable housing and strengthen neighborhoods.
