everyone who enjoys reading novels should try to write a scene. even a paragraph of a scene. try to get someone in and out of a room. will change how you read forever

genuinely most useful writing tip ever is to just, read everything you write out loud. it sounds obvious but i forget to sometimes. sometimes i read my dialogue out loud and realize "oh, this is bullshit"
