Life lies to us...or, rather, our minds and our bodies and our emotions lie to us. I think that's what's going on.

We spend our lives covering up our helplessness and weaknesses. That's all we do.

Who are you at your core? That's who I want to express. I don't want to be what I'm expected to be, I don't even want to be what I long to be, I want to be what I am, whatever mystery that is.

Living = falling.

I love being held by the words that I write.

I was 100% real the moment I was born screaming. Will I be completely real when I take my last breath? It's not possible to fake the frighteningly real moments. When you're born, you don't know anything but your first moments. And when you die, all you know are your last moments.

I want to put my whole self into everything I write. Mind, body, emotions. To do anything less is difficult, for then I have to figure out how to be for others rather than being my full self. I want to read with my whole self, too. I want to do everything with my whole self.
