We discussed new projects to increase trade between Ukraine and Canada, promote Ukrainian products in Toronto, and invite more of Canadian businesses to participate in Ukraine’s rebuilding.

Russian missiles destroyed the Trypilska Thermal Power Plant — the largest power-generating plant near Kyiv, which supplied electricity to the regions of Kyiv, Cherkasy and Zhytomyr. Russia is targeting Ukraine’s energy infrastructure to deprive civilians of essential services.

Important news today: Ukrainian parliament ratified modernized Ukraine - Canada Free Trade Agreement, which contains updated and new chapters on digital trade, services, investment protection and other areas. This is an important step to increase bilateral trade and investments.

Ukraine and Romania are not only good neighbors and friends. Our countries also have some of the largest communities in Toronto.

Another tragedy in Kharkiv. In a double tap attack, Russia hits two apartment buildings with Shahed drones. Three first responders and a civilian have been killed, and twelve wounded. More air and missile defense systems to Ukraine is the only way to protect civilians.

FM Dmytro Kuleba: Ukraine is currently the only country in the world that defends itself against ballistic missile attacks almost every day. This means that all 'Patriot' batteries available around the world that can be provided to Ukraine must be delivered to Ukraine asap.
