Fantastic to have the opening event today for our new artists studio in Space To Be at the Gyle. All artists are people displaced from around the world. We are delighted to be able to partner with them and offer them a home.

Huge thanks to Stephen from Corstorphine Trust who walked the youthgroup round some of the village's gory history spots tonight. The dark and rain made it all the more atmospheric.

The mission committee had great fun decorating the church for tomorrow's harvest festival. Donations of tins, packets, sauces, long life milk, treats, nappies, toothpaste for St Salvadors foodbank or food tokens for Cyrenians all very welcome at our 10.30 service.

Harvest thanksgiving and Ruairidh's baptism at the 10.30 service this morning, and at the 9.40 wee service we planted mustard seeds in funny face planters. Phoebe is proudly showing us her handiwork.

Day 15 of #31DaysOfGraves - Cross The late 19thC saw a significant upturn in interest in Gaelic culture as part of a "Celtic Revival" trend. One of this movement's most visible manifestations was vast numbers of Celtic crosses like this fine example at @OldParishCor, Edinburgh.

As there is no toastie Thursday today, because of the school holuday, we have taken it upon ourselves to try toasties in other places. Today we are at the Lothian Buses cafe in Shandwick Place. Stay tuned for our opinion....

The verdict on Lothian Buses toasties? Good, but not as good as Toastie Thursday, which returns next week. Always working hard to ensure a top toastie experience in Edinburgh....

Helen Kay gave a fascinating talk at the Corstorphine Trust this afternoon about Chrystal Macmillan, suffragist and campaigner for justice and peace, a local from Corstorphine.

Look at the brand new path in the churchyard. Well, the new old path, being reconstructed by The City of Edinburgh Council Rumours have been quashed that the old stones formed part of a Roman road because of the electric cable found running underneath it. What have the Romans ever done for us?

We bring you news of glad tidings! The angel wings have reappeared on the church doors, and selfies, self reflections, pause for thought are welcomed. This is our last post on this platform - we are off to bluer skies and hope to see you there. Same handle. X
