Ted Carter Jr., the new president of The Ohio State University, dropped the puck prior to tonight's Columbus Blue Jackets game.

Mr. Carter played hockey at the U.S. Naval Academy and had more than 6,300 flying hours in 125 combat missions. Carter's call sign was 'Slapshot.'
