Erie County Commissioner Matt Old mentored the elected county commissioners at Buckeye Boys State. This year, they launched the first-ever County Commissioners Association of Boys State to advocate for priorities important to them. Future leaders in action!

It was a big day at Buckeye Boys State! Earlier today, the Buckeye Boys State Troopers were officially sworn in. After an inspection by Patrol Superintendent, Colonel Charles Jones, these young leaders were joined by Ohio Buckeye Boys staff and gov. officials for a ceremony.

I am proud to announce that HCR 7, to support the American Legion Buckeye Girls and Buckeye Boys State, passed out of the Ohio House unanimously this afternoon.

Buckeye Girls State, along with its counterpart Buckeye Boys State, is a long-running program that aims to instill a deeper understanding of government. wtol.com/article/news/l…
