The Yaaku language is coming back . Today,Indigenous Young Moms hosted a celebration for the successful translation of st Luke in the Bible.Yaaku community meet every Wednesday at Yaaku cultural center of Hope Kurikuri to learn "Tano Bora" Yaaku words

Yaaku community does language revival through songs and poems with the guide of the Bible.Youths are coming out in large numbers to learn Yiakunte which is encouraging as it will roll down the generations.

OPDP has been implementing a project supported by European Union In Kenya & UN Development on access to justice among the Ogiek. We have successfully conducted legal aid clinics in Rongai,Njoro& Molo sub-county for over 200 community members over the month of June,offering free legal aid services.

The 3 day training of Ogiek women on Leadership and negotiation,has kicked off today with women representing 16 Ogiek women groups across the Mau complex.They will be equipped with skills to promote effective operations of the socio-economic project in partnership with FSC-IF.

The Christened Fund partners across Africa have this week had a joint meeting & an exchange learning session in Kenya to discuss how they can collectively address some of the major issues affecting the world.This meetings were incorporated with visits to the nearby community.
