As Africans, we cannot change our past. We can only use our history to define our present & shape our future. Tribal & ethnic conflicts/wars fueled the slave trade & opened us up for colonialism. Tribalism/ethnic sentiments are undermining our independence & will kill our future

Otumfuo has spoken like a true statesman. Our chiefs have critical roles to play in stopping the Galamsey menace. Our politicians have mandate/resources but they are not delivering results. We only have today to stop Galamsey, tomorrow might be too late. fb.watch/gafuwW4aJo/

Galamsey is pushing Ghana very fast towards what other developed nations fear most and are running away from; Climate change, desertification, scarcity of fresh water, rising cancer cases, hunger / starvation, political instability, etc #StopGalamsey2024 instagram.com/tv/CjtElIqoZax…

The ‘Laws of Burgos’ in 1512 & the ‘New Laws of the Indies’ in 1542 forced European countries to establish factories in Africa from 1513 which flourished and became very profitable under the ‘Asiento de Negros’ in 1589. Let’s work together to build better factories in Africa now

The 14 European countries and USA were able to carry through the resolutions of their 3 months long Berlin Conference (15 Nov 1884 - 26 Feb 1885) that solely divided Africa amongst themselves. So why can’t the resolutions on SDGs, COPs and other conferences be carried through 🤔

World War I is commemorated each 11/11 with such seriousness. Let’s not forget 15/11; the Berlin Conference (1884) where Europeans spent 3 months to plan their ‘divide & rule’ processes to colonize Africa. ‘Nkabom’ - A call for Africa & it’s Diaspora to unit & develop together🙏

Today marks exactly 138 years that 14 European countries and USA met at the Berlin Conference - 1884 to share Africa amongst themselves. History has a lot to teach us as Africans on our way forward “The further back you look, the further forward you can see” - Winston Churchill

Imagine being spat at, glass put in your shoes, adults screaming ugly at you, sitting a lone in a classroom and needing armed guards. And you’re a six-year old! #RubyBridges

The past and present direct the future. Addressing issues on irregular migration, human trafficking and modern slavery require holistic and future-looking measures. We can not ‘Shape Minds for the Future’ without ‘Addressing Present Needs’ #nkabom4peace #nkabom4development

Ghana and ECOWAS are doing everything possible to go against the will of the people on military intervention in Niger. It’s time to change the name of our airport to Kwame Nkrumah International Airport to demonstrate that we are against coups and coups plotters. Yes or No🤔
