The panel discussion on mental health in aviation at #2024NAC was a resounding success. It was widely agreed upon that greater attention should be given to mental health awareness.

The SACAA emphasis the importance of support groups and providing a supportive environment.

The Aeronautical Information Service unit within the SACAA is responsible for maintaining the regularity, safety, and effectiveness of domestic and international air navigation.

Pilots must know the different NOTAMs and respond to the notices immediately.

Unruly or dangerous passengers may be fined or imprisoned. If found guilty of an offence and, on conviction, liable to a fine or imprisonment for a period not exceeding six months or to both such a fine and imprisonment.
