We just returned after 22 days sailing from an intense Antarctic expedition. No time to report our activity, and we are now telling you about the outcome of the expedition. We visited 10 sites in looking for signs of animals infected with high pathogenicity #AvianFlu (HPAI) virus

The Weddell Sea is a difficult area to navigate with lots of ice, strong winds and very low temperatures. The expertise of Ben Wallis and the crew (Alice Reade and Adam Coerper) was critical to get to remote sites. Many thanks to the Ocean Expeditions Australis team!
