This townhall is at 7PM tomorrow in 1.31. I'll try to cover something about Euroean Research Infrastructures, ICOS RI in particular, how we support observations in the ICOS Ocean Thematic Centre and finish by giving a few thoughts on where the ocean sits in the World Meteorological Organization G3W initiative.
Got some spare time over the weekend? Interested in the Land Ocean Aquatic Continuum? Then why not submit to this session at the ICOS RI science conference? icos-cp.eu/news-and-event… DANUBIUS-RI #LandSeaLot JERICO Research Infrastructure
The IOCR report sponsored by UNESCO Ocean was a major milestone in pulling together our current understanding of the ocean C cycle and a major inspiration for OceanICU. This webinar tackles one of the core questions it raises
The role marine mammals play in the ocean C cycle is unclear (ocean-icu.eu/resources/ocea…). Partly this reflects uncertainty over the biomass of wild mammals, something OceanICU Project researcher Fabio Berzaghi and coworkers address in this paper.

The results, summarised in this declataion are clear, we have the collective ambition to link together the ad hoc existing systems in a robust way in order to provide key information to end users such as the World Meteorological Organization G3W initiative, The Global Ocean Observing System (GOOS) and the GlobalCarbonProject (2)
Last year over 100 scientists from around the world assembled at Flanders Marine Institute - VLIZ to debate how to transform our surface ocean carbon observing and data analysis capacity, so essential for monitoring the state of the planetary C cycle (1)
Working on the biological pump? Interested in the OceanICU Project, APERO Cruise or BIO-Carbon programmes? Why not submit an abstract to our session at EGU this year, deadline early next week
