Hey everyone! Please share far and wide. A Malawian scholar Chimwemwe Phiri has a great 3 year postdoc opportunity but has to pay £4000+ in fees up front to the Home Office. Please help her out to reach this goal so she can start her postdoc. Her details are in the link 👇🏾

Very much looking forward to reading Ulrike Krause (@ulrikekrause.bsky.social) and Nadine Segadlo's timely article focusing on the lived experiences of LGBTQ+ displaced people in Kenya's Kakuma refugee camp.

Glad to see ILGA World removed Tel Aviv’s 2026 bid to host.Decades ago, the Gay Association of SA had its membership suspended for not ‘work[ing] against Apartheid.’ With SA hosting the 2024 conference—led by trans orgs—this makes the bid even more egregious. A full-circle moment

#ECAS2025 has opened the call for papers. The conference will be held in Prague from 25-28 June 2025. I am organising a panel with Prof Tendai Mangena (University of Leeds) on how gender & sexuality intersect with (im)mobility and (un)belonging in Africa and Afropean contexts.

Wrote a little something with Ruth Ramsden-Karelse on ILGA World , pinkwashing, Palestinian solidarity, historical precedent & what we can learn from Simon Nkoli & the South African organisations & groups showing leadership now
