Our weekend was busy with the Teulings Youth Sports Challenge. As we count down to the grand finale we hosted athletes in boxing, rugby, hockey, judo and handball. Over 500 young athletes were at the Centre competing ahead of next month's grand finale.

Two Zambian boxers Mwengo Mwale and Emmanuel Katema are in DR Congo for the 2024 Elite Men and Women Africa Boxing Championship. The duo will fight today. Mwengo Mwale will be the first to enter the ring in the afternoon, while Emmanuel Katema will fight in the evening.

U18 Men's Handball team yesterday left for Ethiopia to participate in the IHF - Continental Championship. Zambia is in Group A together with Nigeria and host nation Ethiopia. The first game will be played today at 18:00 CAT against Nigeria and their next game will be on Monday.

Congratulations to the U16 Zambia Hockey Teams for their first victory in Malaysia where they are taking part in the FIH Hockey 5s Festival. The boys won against Cambodia 1-10 Zambia, while the girls recorded an amazing win 4-2 against Indonesia. We are proud of the team.
