Two of our students, Cole and Myles, were invited to enjoy a ‘day in the life’ of a pilot experience day. During the course of the day, students were given a taster of the basic principles of aircraft. Both students said it was an amazing experience!

Last Thursday SWB hosted the North and West Regional Final of the OAT MFL Spelling Bee, with Madeleine Goodridge emerging victorious, taking the title of Regional Champion!

Today the Computing Live trip have spent the day exploring the sights of Paris!

Students have visited a Computing Live conference at Disneyland Paris exploring Computer Science and IT in the real-world. The event featured some fantastic speakers talking about careers and how to develop within an ever changing field!

Last term we saw outstanding Art homework from our Year 8 artists with the theme 'Alice in Wonderland', pupils set off to create illustrative hands, showing off their incredible drawing skills! Homework featured below is from Harrison Skeldon, Ellie Gaskell and Amelie Robinson.

Cerys in Year 10 took part in a performance at the Birmingham International Tattoo at the Resorts World Arena, which featured massed military bands, and displays from around the world. Around 7,000 to 8,000 people came to watch each day. Well done to Cerys and team!

This week a 185 Year 7 students, as well as 21 Year 12 students enjoyed a trip to the Wolves Civic where they experienced a live orchestra, many of them for the first time! Many thanks to Wolverhampton Music Service for putting on a brilliant show.

Last week, we had the pleasure of seeing Year 8 student Joel Pedapudi being sworn in his role as Wolverhampton Youth Councillor. Joined here by Councillor Stephen Simpkins, His Rt Worshipful Mayor of Wolverhampton Cllr Dr Michael Hardacre and Andrew Wolverson.

Today is Internet Safety Day 2024. This week our E-Safety ambassadors will be delivering assemblies across the academy to look at how we can make the internet a safer space for us all to be by reflecting on our online habits whilst navigating the ever changing online world.
