Thanks to Columbus Crew for hosting the OSFMA Field Day on 6/24! It was great to meet so many people working on sports field management and share with them our nematode survey program (focusing on Ohio sports fields this year).

More unhappy news. Brown patch is active already! Most of the samples I have seen this week are turf type tall fescue. Make sure when spraying that your using the right product for the job. Protectants are before disease occurs, curatives are for active disease problems.

Spotted brown patch in my tall fescue home lawn right after mention at TTT Todd Hicks. Recent rainfalls and high temperatures are likely contributing factors.

Disease Update! First confirmed case of active summer patch, Nematodes are starting to really cause turf decline and poa triv is checking out hard core! Stay on the phosphites and do everything you can culturally to make the turf healthy and happy!!
