In Woonsocket, I joined Operation Stand Down Rhode Island facility dedication for homeless female veterans. It’s named in honor of U.S. Marine Corporal Andrea Ryder, who served honorably, was a proud RI’er, loving daughter, Mom, & partner.

Vets served our country. We must support them however we can.

Thanks to the generosity of those who attended our meeting Monday, these pantry staples were delivered to Operation Stand Down Rhode Island. Join us 5/20 for another opportunity to donate.

This organization provides essential services for RI veterans experiencing homelessness – including job training, housing and food assistance + much more.

Honored to join Operation Stand Down Rhode Island and Mayor Picozzi today to announce that the traveling Vietnam Memorial Wall will be returning to RI.

Stop by Rocky Point Park from 9/8 - 9/10 to pay tribute to the over 58,000 service members who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.

Honored to have Operation Stand Down Rhode Island at the DAF door for suggested donations and raffles. They are a nonprofit resource for homeless and at-risk veterans. Their mission is to strengthen the veteran community by providing crucial wrap-around services.

I was glad to visit the Andrea Ryder Transition Home with leaders from Department of Housing and Urban Development to see the valuable work of Operation Stand Down Rhode Island to help our female veterans in need.
 
Through providing shelter, strength & stable ground, those who served our nation can receive the support they deserve.

May we remember those who laid down their lives to defend our freedoms and our nation, and may we honor their sacrifice in our own actions and service.
