Tonight was the Oregon Beer Awards ceremony. Highlight #1: Breakside Brewery *dominated.* 10 medals, four gold. And of course, best brewery.
Fun fact #2 of the Oregon Beer Awards. There were 900-odd beers entered, and *140* used lactobacillus. 1997 is scratching its head over that one.
Final fun fact of the Oregon Beer Awards. Cascade Brewing won gold in a *Brettanomyces* category. Gansberg used to throw Brett barrels out.
