We honor the lives we lost 23 years ago today. We're forever grateful for the bravery of the flight crews, firefighters, police officers, EMTs, DOT employees, transportation workers, and other first responders who stepped up to help each other in the face of terrorism.

Today, we pause to reflect on the past 23 years and how the events of Sept. 11, 2001, have impacted our great nation. We honor those who lost their lives that day and recognize the first responders for their tireless efforts during and after attacks. We will never forget.
