In my meeting with Mathias Cormann in Paris today, I welcomed the new action plan for OECD ➡️ Better Policies for Better Lives - Moldova cooperation. It includes measures in key areas such as improving the business environment, promoting good governance, reforming justice, and fighting corruption.

At the OECD Eurasia & GREEN Action Task Force closing session, Latvian ambassador Amb. Andris Pelšs urged continued support for Ukraine's 🇺🇦 climate goals, which have been affected by the war, highlighted innovation and regional cooperation in delivering climate action in Eurasia.

The Eastern Partner Region and Central Asia face worsening environmental threats and related economic losses. On 4-5 February, OECD ➡️ Better Policies for Better Lives & Eurasia governments discussed integrating climate action with economic growth, building on work by the OECD Eurasia Competitiveness Programme.

A working meeting with the OECD ➡️ Better Policies for Better Lives delegation was held. The key topics of discussion were the progress of the implementation of the OECD Programme for Ukraine and the Ukraine recovery architecture together with announcement of the same-name study.

Ukraine is joining the OECD Regional Policy Committee, gaining access to the expertise of 38 countries. Together with OECD ➡️ Better Policies for Better Lives experts, we’re shaping a new regional planning system for 2028–2034 — transparent and tailored to each region🇺🇦🇪🇺

In Vilnius today, I met President Gitanas Nausėda to discuss OECD-🇱🇹 cooperation and priorities. We reviewed progress in implementing the OECD ➡️ Better Policies for Better Lives Ukraine Country Programme, and how OECD recommendations can help address the economic, social and fiscal impacts of population ageing.

Today’s close of G20 South Africa Presidency ends the 1st G20 South Africa cycle. Looking back OECD ➡️ Better Policies for Better Lives helped #G20 end bank secrecy, tackle BEPS, leverage AI & boost ag market transparency. We stand ready to support G20 action on broad-based & balanced growth under 🇺🇸 leadership in 2026.
