Monday was our 5th Annual OCDE NTC ProjectGLAD Summer Institute here in Alexandria City Public Schools! It was the zest! Huge shout out to all the EL Services team and all of our GLAD® trainers who presented and helped with the logistics for this incredible mini-conference!

We had a packed house Patrick Henry School ACPS for the ACPS OCDE NTC ProjectGLAD Summer Institute on Monday! Over 120 educators from Ohio to VA Beach came to start their year on the GLAD foot! This work is equity in action for our students and tools for our teachers. So proud!

We also celebrated our newest OCDE NTC ProjectGLAD trainers and certifiers on Monday! FCPS Title I Literacy FCPSElemESOL has 8 new trainers to support access to content and language for all students! Alexandria City Public Schools has 3 new trainers and 4 official certifiers to help grow the model. So proud!

OCDE NTC ProjectGLAD Observation Charts! Partners walk around & have an academic conversation before we introduce new concepts. Then Ss write an observation/prediction/question. Can you see sp where Ss were writing and not letting spelling get in the way of letting thier ideas flow!
