We view Physician Fee Schedule (PFS) provisions contained in the House Budget Reconciliation package as a downpayment towards additional, critically needed relief for office-based providers throughout the remainder of the 119th Congress.

Our top priorities are ✅ Protecting independent practices providing office-based specialty care ✅ Providing meaningful Medicare Physician Fee Schedule (PFS) reform options to policymakers.

Congress must build on the PFS downpayment in the House Budget Reconciliation package.

As a result of ongoing PFS practice expense cuts, independent providers are often paid much less than their costs. This dynamic drives health system consolidation and is why more than 300 PFS services today are reimbursed at rates below their CMS-calculated direct costs.
