These Grade 9 EQAO Math scores are never talked about in the media. If there was a crisis in math education it would be seen in these scores too. And yet 84% of Grade 9 Academic students are scoring level 3 or above.

This talk of whether or not the school year will be "written off" is frustrating. Even if Ss don't return to buildings before June 30, a massive amount of work has gone into remote crisis learning plans. All Board staff would be crushed if people consider that a "write off".

Premier Doug Ford and Minister Stephen Lecce , the next time a reporter asks about "writing off" the school year, please correct their language.
