Public employment services are key to manage labour market transitions & deliver services to jobseekers & employers.ILO Nepal's Director Numan Ozcan called to work together to create a robust public employment service for Nepal at federal, provincial & municipal levels.

I welcome Nepal’s consideration to ratify ILO Convention n.87 👏 Like for any other country, ratification shouldn’t be just to gain some trade benefits, but because it is good for the workers and employers of Nepal, and good for its whole economy and society.

Nepal’s commitment to ratify ILO Convention No.87 is a milestone for ensuring freedom of association and right to organize. Today, looking at the Convention and Nepal’s legislation in detail with श्रम, रोजगार तथा सामाजिक सुरक्षा मन्त्रालय and JTUCC.
