At the recent Hill of Beath Hawthorn FC 50th Anniversary and Hall of Fame event, twelve club legends were entered into the Hall of Fame, not seven as reported in the local press. Over the next week or so I'll feature them all here.
1/12 from the Hill of Beath Hawthorn FC Hall of Fame, inducted on April 26th. Bill Smith, player 1975 until 1983, 273 games, 83 goals. Club captain and a stalwart of the Committee following retirement from playing. Many years as Treasurer and still a regular at home games. A true gentleeman
2/12 Second inductee to the Hill of Beath Hawthorn FC Hall of Fame recently was Michael McKee. He spanned the Amateur and Junior days, played 363 games for the club between 1975 and 1984, scoring 33 goals. One of the key men in establishing the club He was there in person to receive his award
3/12 in the inaugural Hill of Beath Hawthorn FC Hall of Fame - the late Russell Brebner. 549 games for the club, captain of the Scottish Cup winning team. 6 League Championships, 20 Cup wins. Great to see his family at the Hall of Fame event.
4/10 Hill of Beath Hawthorn FC Hall of Fame entrants, 2025 - Brian Kenny, a true leader, played for Haws between 1987 and 2007, 571 games, 8 League titles, 24 Cup wins. Quite simply, an outstanding figure in the Haws history.
5/12 Hill of Beath Hawthorn FC Hall of Fame Inductees, 2025 is Jimmy Wright. Called "The White Brazilian" for his magical talent, Jimmy was possibly the most skilful player ever to wear a Haws strip. So many moments of magic that turned games. Also played for Leeds United St. Johnstone FC and Dundonald Bluebell FC

Great win for Hill of Beath Hawthorn FC in their last pre-season game against Lowland League East Stirlingshire FC yesterday, 3-0, goals - Dawson, Smith & Allum. Hard work-out against a decent Shire side. Good luck to both teams as they start their League season this Saturday.
