Psyched to announce my 1st author paper from postdoc time with Monther Abu-Remaileh. I am EXTREMELY grateful for everyone’s contribution especially my mentor, Monther. A sense of accomplishment and a craving for more :) nature.com/articles/s4158…

I am thrilled to announce our newest paper showing lysosomal protein catabolism as a mechanism to reduce the stress of cystine starvation, GSH depletion, and consequently ferroptosis. It's been incredible working with Dixon lab @SJD956 and David Armenta sciencedirect.com/science/articl…

Very excited to share our co-first author work on Golgi-IP (with amazing Rotimi Fasimoye Raja S. Nirujogi through MRC PPU Aligning Science Across Parkinson’s). We showed that UDP species are enriched in the Golgi and validated the subcellular function of SLC35A2. Organelle-IP rocks! biorxiv.org/content/10.110…

2022 top stories! Institute Scholar Monther Abu Remaileh Monther Abu-Remaileh, Nouf Laqtom & team developed a new method to determine all the molecules present in the lysosomes of mice which could lead to a better understanding of neurodegenerative diseases: buff.ly/3R8qP2D

I am tremendously grateful to my PI Monther Abu-Remaileh, who inspired, supported, and encouraged me to get this far. Also، a big thank you to the awesome labmates, especially Ali, Wentao, Uche, Cindy, Sam, Austin, George, Kwamina, and Miharu.

The website and recruitment ads are coming soon. For now, reach out if interested at [email protected]

Nouf Laqtom from Monther Abu-Remaileh Stanford University wrote on their development of LysoIP, that enables rapid isolation of intact lysosomes for multi-omic measurement of their content. 🛠️nature.com/articles/s4158… Original paper nature: nature.com/articles/s4158…
