Progress on the Multispectral Illumination driver board: has 8 LED drivers on their own little board to drive 8 independent channels with up to 750 mA each. The drivers I choose are the ILD8150, a hybrid control #LED buck driver. #light #diy #hobby #cv #vision

It's coming together, first open loop vehicle control tests. Servo and motor controlled by the #KR260 through a custom overlay with Timers/PWM IP and using #PYNQ. Next integration it into #ROS2 with twist commands! #AMDPervasiveAI #robotics #PID #control #adventure #hobby

Newest update, getting many smaller tested things working together. Reading RC commands from the RX over SBus on the #KR260 and publish them as twist commands in ROS. Motor and servo controller now also in a ROS node, listening to those twist commands. #AMDPervasiveAI #ROS2 #DIY

First experiments and results from the Mini #lidar from #AliExpress. Based my code (in #Python) on work done by でべ (github.com/devemin/Unknow…) and Vidicon (github.com/Vidicon/Mini-3…). Good initial results (indoors), very quiet operation with near zero vibrations. #robotics

First test and calibration images with the multispectral imaging system I'm working on. It uses 8 LEDs with different colors/bands to achieve the spectral selection. Images taken with RGB camera and calibration target is PTFE/Tefolon tape covered square. (Ignore center image)

Interesting result, majority using #ROS2 only! You might wonder what prompted this pool? I'm planning on making a 3D application (and try out #Godot) to view/control my RC car robot (w. #KR260). ROS seems ideal, when using a network connection and #linux, but a pain otherwise...

I'm so far unable to use #ROS2 in #Godot, seemed simple: github.com/flynneva/godot… or github.com/yukkysaito/god… Neither work for me, they fail at creating a ROS node. Now either I'll switch to #Unity3D or try to make a similar system used in Unity in Godot: github.com/Unity-Technolo…

MAJOR progress in integrating #ROS2 with #Godot! Taking the #Unity3D approach by porting Unitys ROS-TCP-Connector library do Godot. Took a few days but basics are working! ROS side ROS-TCP-Endpoint is untouched, making the ported Godot version an alternative for the Unity version
