Many thanks to our friends at RAF Association (Newcastle and Gateshead Branch) for inviting me to be part of their Battle of Britain Service in Newcastle. It was also a pleasure to meet the Lord Mayor (Habib Rahman) and students from Northumbrian UAS.
Well done NUAS on winning Group Captain John ‘Geordie’ Lawson CO’s Cup 2021! Units across RAF Leeming competed in monthly sports with NUAS finally clinching the win at yesterday’s Christmas Quiz. Received by Snr Team and new intake on induction camp. Better luck next year Yorkshire UAS 😉
Last week, first year students from NUAS spent one week RAF Leeming on Induction Camp. The camp introduces students to life on squadron, providing them with the kit and knowledge to get the most out of their time with NUAS.
Proud & sad to unveil the last new 100 Sqn tail art.😢 It depicts the ‘blood and brains’ flag acquired during WWI, which became the skull & crossbones crest. Red represents 100’s Red Air role. Blue and yellow are the Sqn colours. Post closure, XX221 is designated to Red Arrows
