It’s also within a Marine Protected Area and home to grey seals and many nesting seabirds. We were lucky to hear some stories about the Monachs from the last man born on the islands, sadly no longer with us, what an amazing place to grow up.

Looking forward to hearing more about the bird surveys on St .Kilda. If anyone hasnt been yet it’s well worth going. The sheer number of Gannets flying around you is a real sight as the stacks loom above you. Hirts is beautiful and you can only begin to imagine how life was there
