Another Sunday distro from us here at the collective. This distro we reflect on the familiar faces that we see. Some of these folks we've gotten to know over the past year and a half. When we say these people are our neighbors we mean it.

Because you don't have to have a house to be someone's neighbor. The truth is, the city and county doesn't want you to look at people living outside as a part of your community. They want to convince you they themselves landed in that situation and YOU took the proper steps

to avoid it. But when we talk to our neighbors we find we can share a laugh, or find common ground much more than we can with the police or politicians of our city, most of which don't even live in Escondido. The question remains.

Why do we allow cops and politicians decide who is worthy of community support, when they are paid for by the community? This system is completely broken, but that's why we continue to build networks of care.
