Travel and transportation! Extended School Year Program hit the road for this week's theme! Students and staff took a trip to the NYS Museum in Albany on Thursday. They learned about minerals, firetrucks, the 1920's, and the Cohoes Mastodon but the 1914 carousel was the favorite!

Nature's classroom at the Albany Pine Bush Preserve! Friday, our second graders enjoyed a fantastic field trip to the Pine Bush. Students from kindergarten through third grade will have the opportunity to explore this beautiful destination throughout the summer!

We are excited to host 8th and 9th grade students for our Capital Region BOCES CTE Summer Enrichment program this week! The City School District of Albany, BH-BL Schools & North Colonie CSD youth are learning about construction, culinary arts, computer science and digital media! BOCES of New York NYS Education Department

Thank you to the Albany County Legislature and Mr. Paul Burgdorf for awarding North Colonie this grant for our food pantries! We are one of 28 beneficiaries. This money will help support students and families in need not only during the school year, but on school breaks as well.

Celebrating community connections! Our Extended School Year Program’s Adapted Foods classes teamed up with the Summer Program Wellness Class, donating 24 pumpkin breads to the Sidewalk Warriors of Troy. The students also baked zucchini bread for the final Summer Garden Market.
