IMO one of the biggest issues in health policy is silos. Everyone’s got their own budget to deal with so instead of actually fixing things, they just externalize costs as much as possible. Make comprehensive primary care impossible to seem cheaper, ER & inpatient costs go up.

I feel strongly that we should bring back 1972.

Can it go to the waiting room to sort out a punch up, pop out to the ambulances to do CPR, get the labs to process the CRP, persuade urology penises belong to them, and talk to a family while being called to a board round because everyone >band 7 needs to do a report? Race ya!

This exact time last year I was on a pump with my chest open. What a strange year it has been. But so thankful that I am up and about and able to interact with this awesome community!

Life is short. Make sure you spend it with people who make you feel good and make sure you spend time doing things you enjoy. There is no point dealing with people who make you feel bad or doing things that don’t bring you any joy.

Closing in on the end of another month with the FDNY EMS Paramedic Response Units in the Bronx Response times? Awful What about the FDNY firefighters who respond to life or death EMS runs on their fire engines? They take 6m and 40s longer to get to a cardiac arrest than a fire.
